A Pop Of Summer is my entery for the 2024 SAQA (Studio Art Quilts Associates) benefit Auction.
The auction takes place online, and runs September 13 -October 6, 2024. Proceeds from the auction help support SAQA's exhibitions and outreach programs. More information about SAQA and the SAQA auction can be found on their website.
I wanted to make a colorful and happy piece. I like to think the piece may bring a smile to the veiwers face.
Woven black and white cotton strips for the background. Fancyful wool flowers with beading and embroidery. Cotton backing wrapped to the front with black thread accent, heavy weight interface for middle layer, layers are hand tacked together.
All auction pieces are 12" X 12".
