I'm so excited to have two pieces in the Dallas Area Fiber Artists Show, FUNtastic Fibers. The show ends August 11, more information can be found on the Dallas Area Fiber Artists website.
Grandma's Wallpaper
This
piece was inspired by a scrap of wallpaper in my Grandparents
farmhouse. The house is now just a ruin having been vacant for more
than 50 years. However, during a walk through many years ago I
photographed a piece of the old wallpaper and I've always wanted to
do something with the image. I'm so excited about this piece, which
I've named Grandma's Wallpaper.
Outlook
Valley a Study in Perspective
I made Outlook Valley to show the idea of perspective from two very different definitions. First, from the obvious definition of perspective as an artistic view of a landscape with details of depth and size. Second, to encourage the viewer to reflect on their personal perspectives in a relaxing and peaceful setting.
