A Little Art Quilting.

 

This is a just a little for the fun of it piece. It's based on a photo I took of the wild flowers growing in a local field.

 *Below is my inspiration photo.

The piece is built in layers. 
Below is the first layer of elements.
*Cheese cloth was used in the sky.
*Fussy cut green fabrics for  first layer of the treeline.
* Torn strips of blue flannel for the water.
* Dyed cheese cloth for the sandy shoreline.
*Dyed green fabric , with various paint details for the field.
*Fussy cut flower petals.
A second layer of details.
*Lace dot flowers.
*More petals and embroidery details on the yellow flowers.
*Embroidery flowers,  Embroidery details in the trees and gasses in the field,
*Paint details.
*Quilting throughout.
Finished piece is 11" X 16" . Binding and machine quilting.
