Welcome Spring-a table runner in greens.

The inspiration for this early spring table runner is from a historical block design I found in: The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns by Jinny Beyer.  This book is wonderful!  This book includes thousands of quilt blocks designs with information on the history of their origins, as well as, inspiration and ideas to recreate them.
I found this block on page 188, it is block #3 it was shown with the name Brock House. I thought it was such an interesting looking block and I was was excited to play with how it would look connected together with multiple blocks.  Jinny Beyer attributes the block to Nancy Page, printed in the Birmingham News on May 26, 1935.
*Above is a breakdown of the pieces in that block and their placement.
*Below is a photo of the focal fabric I wanted to highlight in this piece.  Fantasy by Sally Kelly for Windham Fabrics.  Also used are: the navy blue piece-Quilter's Linen and the green piece-basicgray for Moda
The above photo shows the beginning of working out the order for the block's construction.

The above photos show how I experimented with block placement.  I was trying to make different layout designs using the same block.
You should be able to find 6 blocks in each of the above photos.
Above is the finished table runner.
* 6 blocks, plus an extra partial block on each end and a border.
24" X 37.5", cotton backing and flannel batting.
Quilting was done on my domestic machine: all over meandering and leaves with stylized flowers in each navy block.  The thread is a light lavender which adds an interesting pop.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the process of this block into a completed project.  I look forward to experimenting with another block soon.

Wishing you a wonderful day!
