Color Play another scrappy quilt

In the on going quest to cut down the scrap pile here is today's scrappy quilt project.  This happy scrappy string quilt is great for a nap on the sofa or cuddling up with a good book.

Each block is constructed on a piece of foundation fabric. Foundation fabric is rough cut to 12" square and marked with a 9.5" square for fabric strip placement.
Fabric strips were added with the stitch and flip method starting with the middle and working out.
All the squares were worked on the diagonal.
View of the back.  Squares were trimmed to 9.5"
Below are photos of the variety of layout options I tried. There are so many ways to work with these fun blocks.  I'm sure as my box of scraps grows I'll be returning to this versatile block.

9.5" squares finished to 9". Finished size approximately 54" X 72". 80/20 batting.  Backing soft lavender flannel. Quilting done on my domestic machine.

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful day!
