Crazy Quilt - Tea Time Memories

A gift of a beautiful tea cozy and set of napkins was the inspiration for this piece.

The layout for the piece was 6 individual blocks. I made each block in a rectangular shape. To me the retangular shape gave the feeling of placemats. The color and decoration made for a feeling of a special occasion or maybe special guests coming.
Below are a few detail photo.

The finished piece is 28" X 23 .5".  It is a true quilt with backing and wool from recycled clothing for batting.

Embroidered linens, cotton, silk, satin, embroidery floss, silk ribbon, yarns, vintage lace, buttons, jewelry, pieces, sequins, charms, and more!
Embroidery, hand and machine stitched.
You may look back and see old posts about progress on this piece as I worked on it for about two years.

You may also view this piece as part of the 2021 VIRTUAL Member's Spotlight, from the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin (view on YouTube).

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!
