Baby, baby

 Today's post are two lively little baby quilts.

 

Both quilts use the same focal print of cute wild animals call GONE WILD by Sarah Frederking for studioefabrics.

Quilt #1

This baby quilt measures 42" X 42".

The GONE WILD fabric is the 8" center blocks, each block is bordered by 2. 5" strips of yellow and green, then bordered with 1 .5" strips of green mini dot fabric and wide mini dot borders on all sides.  

Quilt #2

This quilt uses the GONE WILD animal fabric in two sizes. If you look close you will see the  animals are larger in the border fabric.  I built this design as I went on my design wall. I started with 9 center squares of either an animal print or a stripe, and then continued to build out from there. The squares in both quilts were somewhat fussy cut to insure for the most full animal bodies in each block.

This quilt is 41" X 52 .5"

Both quilts are quilted on my domestic machine with a meandering design.

Both quilts also are backed with the same fun flannel fabric.
