Baby's Easter Bag

I had so much fun making this cute little bag for the grandbaby's Easter gift that I just had to post it.

The cute bunny face is from Elizabeth Hartman's Fancy Friends Collection.

I've made a few other things with this collection and they are all so much fun!

 

Another look at the front.

Constructed by sewing front and back together (side by side), layering with backing and batting and free motion quilting, folding in half right side out and making a French seam on the side, then making a French seam on the bottom, adding binding, and finally adding two handles from wide grosgrain ribbon and fabric tabs.

Machine quilted on my domestic machine.

Above is a  look at the back, were I used a sweet little bluebonnet print.

 I also included a label with the baby's name.

First bluebonnets of the season!
