I showed the finished top for Garden Basket in an earlier post but now I've finished quilting and binding. Finished quilt is; 56" X 64 .5".

I've again used the pool noodle method to roll this quilt in prep for quilting. (In a post about my baby quilt I talked about this technique ). I think I'm getting more comfortable with this technique. The back came out smooth, no ridges or pulled areas. If you're interested in this technique I would check out, pool noodle quilting, on You Tube or Pintress for more ideas.

I hope you can see the three pool noodles: One for the backing, one for the batting and one for the top. It is important to only unroll a very small area at a time. Smooth with your hands, do a little tug to the backing fabric on both sides and the front edge and Pin! Then unroll a few more inches and repeat. Here I'm working on a table that is 59" X 29 .5". My noodles were a little short. In the future I may try to make my noodles longer, but I'm working with what I have right now.

I quilted this piece on my domestic machine with a meandering design but one that was all straight lines and sharp turns. This is a quilting design I've used before. Below is another quilt I made with this quilting design. On this quilt the quilting design was quite large. I've added it so you can have a better idea of what the quilting design looks like. The quilting on Garden Basket is much tighter.
