Colorado Embroidery

For today's posts I finally finished a project I started last fall as part of a class.  The class was at the Textile Center (late 2019) and called Embroidered Photos from Susan Leschke
 (www.threadsof inspiration.etsy.com).
We submitted a personal photo to Susan before class and she printed it on fabric for us. The class was great for ideas on how to enhance our photos with stitches.

My photo was from a trip we made to the Rocky Mountains in 2018.  I believe this is Emerald Lake.

Finished piece (inside mat) is 5" X 7".

I did put it under glass as it is hanging in a bathroom.  I was careful that the glass does not touch the fabric or embroidery threads.  And, I'm keeping a watch for any moisture. The glass does diminish some of the embroidery details and dulls the colors a bit. I may change things at some point and remove the glass.

I really enjoyed the class and now have another fun momento of my trip.
Hope you are are having a wonderful day.
