Doll Quilt #2 and it's King sized match

I love 1930's fabrics! I wish I could say I had stacks and stacks, or should I say yards and yards, of vintage feed stack fabrics. But, sadly that is not the case. However, I have a wonderful collection of sweet reproduction 1930's fabrics.  For quite some time these fabrics have been my "keepsake" fabrics.  When I travel, go on a shop hop, or I'm on an outing with friends I  pick up one or two fat quarters of these fabrics as my souvenir.
Today's doll quilt is a fun use of some of my 1930's stash.

This 22.5" X 22.5" is done in a Log Cabin design.  The quilt uses a vintage table linen for extra pop (5 patches). I've also added machine embroidery around the edge just inside of the binding. Machine quilt is done on my domestic machine.

Below is the quilt with a vintage doll bed. The little mattress is one I made from more reproduction 1930's fabric.  The doll is modern porcelain from my collection. I made the cloth body and doll clothes.

The fabrics in this piece are leftovers from a KING sized quilt. That quilt is also in a Log Cabin design. I've finished piecing this monster however, I still need to quilt it . Sooooo that will be another blog post. But, till then a little peek.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!
