Doll Quilt #1 and it's King sized match

Being in our current state of quarantine I'm beginning to run a bit low on stash but a bit overwhelmed with new ideas. So I decided to start work on a new project. I'm going to work on a series of doll quilts. By using this smaller scale I'm hoping to be able to finish several quilts while experimenting with some of the flood of ideas I currently having.
For the record I’ve always been a doll person. I have a fun collection of dolls; many from childhood, some that I've made and some from my travels. In the 1990's I had a little business making doll clothes for craft shows. As well as making dolls from fabric I've taken some classes in porcelain doll making. I've also dabbled in making dollhouses.
You may have also noticed I enjoy my vintage textiles (real and reproductions). These textile are a wonderful size for the small scale of a doll quilt.
And, well I really don't need quite so many big quilts. So this is a nice size to use as a wall hangings or to highlight some of my keepsakes and collectibles.
My first doll quilt is very simple. A common 9 patch done with reproduction 1930's fabric ( most of the fabrics but not all are from "1933" by Chloe's Closet for Moda). The white decorative insert is a piece of vintage cross stitch. It was just a remnant that I believe was at one time a pillowcase.

The doll in the photo is one I've had since childhood. The doll's red dress was my daughters when she was that size.

The finished size is 17" X 23". Quilting is a basic meandering done on my domestic machine.
Here is a flashback to another 9 patch I've finished.  This one is KING sized and was finished several years ago.  It was also machine quilted on my domestic machine.

Hope you enjoyed both quilts.
Have a wonderful day!
