Scrappy Top- Garden Basket

I designed this scrappy top using my collection of 2" blocks. About a year ago I decided that I would start cutting small and odd shaped pieces into 1.5", 2", 2.5" and 5"  blocks and strips.  This way I have blocks ready to go when I have an idea.
The idea worked great and when inspiration hit I was off and running. I didn't feel bogged down with the idea of cutting tons of small pieces right off. In the photo you can see my 2" pieces box which was quite empty by the end.

Finished quilt top 58" X 66"
I think I may call this one Garden Basket. as the light green/gray basket weave print boarder reminds me of spring.
With the current stay at home I will need to wait to finish this one.
I look froward to finding a flannel backing and batting to finish this up into a yummy soft sofa quilt.
