Welcome friends,
Today's quilt is a gift for my daughter who works with an animal rescue. Hedgehogs are one of the animals they work to find forever homes for.Unfortunately, the colors in my photo are a bit off. The true colors should be a bit more of a light gray.
Fabrics for the gray background are mostly from the Wilmington fabric line. The various teals and blues are from my stash.
I used Elizabeth Hartman's Fancy Forest Quilt pattern for the five hedgehogs.
The layout design was my own. The backing is a soft flannel. All the quilting was done on my domestic machine.
The size is about 57" X 64"
(Much truer photo of the colors)
Pinned and ready for free motion quilting. If you look close you will notice I have already stitched in the ditch along all the lengthwise seams. This really helped stabilize the quilt and I used each column for a different quilting design.I'm so excited to gift this, I know she will get a kick out of it!
Hope you are having a wonderful day.
