A study of bees...

I have been collecting bee related fabrics for some time and decided to use a few for this small piece.
I have a few ideas for other bee related quilts and thought this would be a good starting off point.
I really enjoyed how the quilting turned out. But, as much as I like the delicate little flowers in person they are a bit hard to see in a photo.

Detail photos of the bees.
Bees: embroidery and organza ribbon.
Words and writing are also something I've been working on.
On this small piece I experimented with using polyester felt for the batting.
Free motion quilting done on my domestic sewing machine.
Finished quilt 11.5" X 17".
