Quilt- Woven Memories

It was close but, I finished this one up just in time for a birthday gift!
For this quilt I was very inspired by an ad from Wilmington Prints and a free quilt pattern called Cherry Pop.  Unlike the inspiration quilt I wanted even more woven elements. I also wanted to develop a more craftsman aesthetic.
In the store I fell in love with the soft color palette of these fabrics.  The fabric collection is called Serene Spring by RJR Fabrics. I thought the fabrics would be perfect for a relaxing sofa/napping quilt.
I particularly think the addition and placement of 1" silver/gray strips enhances  that craftsman feel.
I really love the texture of woven items like baskets and wicker furniture. I want more of that going on in this quilt. I've added multiple areas of weaving. There is even a hint of the weaving in the borders.
The design developed into a quilt I call Woven Memories. I love how it turned out.

Size: 62" X 76"approximately, (unfortunately I didn't note the exact measurement before gifting)

Here is another quilt I've made using a woven technique (2016). The scraps in the centers finish at 1".
Quilt: 60 1/2" X 60 1/2", Meandering Quilting on my domestic sewing machine, Cotton Backing.
