Quilt-Christmas

                                        I MADE IT!

Can't believe I finished this one on time. Started on Thursday and finished Sunday night.
I found this wonderful pattern at our quilt show in October.  But, when I when to buy the fabric at my local shop it was all sold out (pattern showed a line of Moda fabrics). I looked and looked at other shops with no luck!  Last Tuesday back at my local quilt shop I found a few pieces (4 of the mice) for sale in a scrap bag.  The rest of the fabrics I needed to improvise. Believe it or not the large black snowflake fabric was in my stash (What-perfect!).

The pattern is: Christmas Window.  It's by Northern Quilts - Wenche Wolff  Hatling. #NQ-421 (www.northernquilts.no).

The pattern is a wall hanging  34"X 48".
I wanted a lap quilt so I changed the borders.  Mine is 421/2" X 53".
Meandering machine quilting in colors to match the fabrics done on my domestic machine. Some hand embroidery.
Flannel backing. Soft and yummy!

Because my piece is a lap quilt I changed ribbons on the hearts to a decorative machine stitch.

My daughter works with a pocket pet rescue, mice included.  I hope she loves this little quilt.
