Quilt- Summer Project

Summer Project has been on of my most exciting projects.
Summer Project was exhibited at AQS in Des Moines 2017, Minnesota Quilters Show in St. Cloud 2018 (were it won a Honorable Mention ribbon in its class), and my local quilt guild show.
I worked on the crazy quilt blocks a little at a time as a summer project.  The blocks were mostly embellished sitting outside at the lake.  It was wonderful working outside on all the hand embroidery and beading. Just looking at it brings back great memories.

Summer Project: 45" X 56"
Cotton Backing. Machine quilting on my domestic sewing machine.
Focal fabric in each block are Minnesota themed fabrics. The Minnesota fabrics are designs from Barb Tourtillootte for Quiltworks.
Beading, couching, decorative machine stitching, embellishments, hand embroidery, silk ribbon, free motion quilting, improvisational piecing, vintage linens and lace.
