I've recently made a set of six cards using some of the vintage fabrics from my last post.
Each card is composed of a base of scrap fabrics, lace and vintage fabric pieces layered on a piece of thin batting and free motion stitched in place. Silk ribbon trim, buttons and decorative hand stitches were then added.
Originally I used white glue to apply the finished fabric pieces to the white card stock but I found that caused the card stock to ripple. I removed the fabric pieces and tried a low-heat glue gun. That seemed to do the trick, no ripples.
This was a really fun project. I'm looking forward to sending each card off to my quilting friends soon.
Have A Beautiful Day!
